Changing the Default Paper Sizes in Printer Drivers

To print in portrait orientation, download and install Microsoft’s print driver software. The print driver is available from Microsoft’s website. Click Print Driver, pick your personal computer from your operating system list, and click on Get Print Drivers.

From the print driver window, under Options, click Printer Settings. On the General tab, below Personalize, click Custom Paper Sizes. In the Custom Paper Sizes dialog box, then choose the desired number of columns and rows, and click OK. Then, underneath the section marked drivers, click on the Browse button. You will find two options in the print drivers directory: Microsoft and Personal.

For printing in portrait mode, use the Microsoft device. To connect a printer to your pc, use the corresponding driver on your computer. For printers that do not need installation and that include Windows, open the driver program and follow the onscreen instructions. In the print preview pane, double-click the custom paper size. A new window will open, and you’ll be able to alter the custom dimensions in this window. The default custom sizes are usually fine, so that you don’t have to change them unless you’re going to publish in a format that is different than the one the printer provides. To alter the display of custom paper sizes, use the Properties menu.

In the printer properties window, under General, click the custom paper sizes, then click the button of Use driver default option. Use the right or left arrows to view the different display styles out there. In the driver search box, enter the appropriate keywords. You will see a list of those drivers which have matching names with the names you’ve entered. In case you have more than one driver, then select each of the drivers at the Driver Lookup box. After that, click the Install driver button.

Should you need to replace a particular driver, then use the right or left arrows and then click the choice of Driver Replacement. Follow the instructions, and you’ll be given a listing of those apparatus that may be replaced. Select the device you need to install and click on it. When prompted, fill in the information about the driver and click okay. You’ll be prompted again, click okay.
